English abstract:
My PhD thesis is about developing
map games in the geographic education for 4th, 6th
and 8th grade of High Schools. It analyses
geography and cartography education and their
teaching and learning methods. It also researches
possibilities of not traditional teaching tools in
Austria, Hungary and in other countries of
European Union. My aim is to make an interactive
website with applications to learn cartographical
skills. They can be used by pupils to practice map
reading and geographical concepts.
