English abstract:
In 1817 emperor Franz I. initiated the implementation of the cadastral system in the Austrian Monarchy. This cadastral system was an efficient and proper tool for the assessment of land values and therewith also for land taxation. Since then the use and functions of the cadastral system enhanced tremendous. Nowadays the Austrian cadastre is the base for a broad spectrum of tasks in private and public sector. During the last decades an extensive number of high quality geodata was gathered in Austria, which can be used within the cadastral system. Furthermore these datasets could improve the process of a nationwide land valuation significantly. This article is proposing a concept of an Austrian-wide mass appraisal land valuation system, which is based on the cadastre.
