English abstract:
This paper introduces a concept and an algorithm for simple and-low cost localization of moving objects that relies on the proximity-based RFID technique. The method allows for location and direction of movement computation of objects, pedestrians or vehicles carrying a reader (direct approach) or a tag (reverse approach) The proposed approach forms a low-cost tool that could complement existing localization systems, whereas its potential for vehicle tracking and positioning within the frame of indoor parking facilities management is examined.
