English abstract:
One of the current discussion topics in land administration is about the split between land register and cadastre. Are two different organizations necessary or is it beneficial to merge existing organizations. Some countries, e.g., Sweden, merged the organizations, others, like Austria do not currently plan to do so. The paper compares these two systems from the userīs perspective: Does the user see a difference in terms of time and money? Is there a difference from a system theoretical point of view?
